Our Mission
Founded in 1970, Project Learn School is a dynamic and flexible K-8 learning community based on the core values of child-centered, progressive education and consensual decision-making.
Our small cooperative school is committed to maintaining an environment where parental voices join together with teachers and students to create meaningful academic experiences of personal and social learning. Each person (adult and child) has responsibility in the educational process and the governance of the school.
Through hands-on academic and artistic projects, we build on students’ emerging interests and abilities in highly supportive multi-age groups both inside and outside of the classroom.
As a neighborhood school we utilize local resources to educate our children and open our doors through community outreach programs for both adults and children.
